Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee landed an interview with President Donald Trump on the GOP pundit’s new show on Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Huckabee, whose daughter Sarah Huckabee Sanders is Trump’s press secretary, asked Trump about recent hurricanes, the economy and taxes in the Oct. 7 interview. (The first question was what Trump thought of Huckabee Sanders’ performance.)

Trump made several flawed claims that we have previously fact-checked and corrected himself on another talking point in the premiere episode of Huckabee. Huckabee made an interesting claim about first lady Melania Trump that we wanted to look into, too.

“We are the highest taxed nation in the world.”

This is an inaccurate claim that Trump has repeated many times. The Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development in 2014 compared the United States with 33 other industrialized nations and found that the United States actually fell to the bottom or the middle of the pack, depending on whether you look at taxes as a percentage of GDP or tax revenue per capita. (Only South Korea, Chile and Mexico had lower levels of taxation per GDP than the United States.)
