Santora and Others to Host Opioid Awareness Town Hall Meeting on May 10 5/5/2017 HARRISBURG – Rep. James R. Santora (R-Delaware) is joining others in holding an opioid awareness town hall meeting on Wednesday, May 10, at 6 p.m. at the Clifton Heights Fire Company Hall, 20 W. Baltimore Ave., Clifton Heights.
“The opioid crisis sweeping the nation has not spared Delaware County. It is devastating our families, causing unimaginable losses when children, parents and friends are taken,” Santora said. “Please join me and others for a conversation about how to avoid drugs and warning signs that often manifest when habits are forming.”
The meeting – which is free to attend for everyone, not just residents of Clifton Heights – will be held in a partnership with Mayor Joseph Kelly and Council of Borough of Clifton Heights, the Clifton Heights Police Department, Delaware County Heroin Task Force and District Attorney Jack Whelan.
It will offer an open discussion including experts from the medical, treatment and education communities. It will also connect residents with resources available for treatment and recovery.
