Trump nominates Neil Gorsuch for Supreme Court

president-trump-in-philadelphiaIn a prime- time appearance, President Donald Trump finally announced his decision on who he wanted to see seated on the bench of the United States Supreme Court. Trump then announced that his nomination is Judge Neil Gorsuch for the vacant seat left by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia in February of 2016. Since 2006, Gorush has served on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, in Colorado. Gorush was appointed in 2006 by former President George W. Bush and then was confirmed by the Senate on a voice vote. Gorsuch, 49, is a fourth generation Coloradan, born in Denver. It was his mother, Anne, was appointed by Ronald Reagan as the first woman to head the Environmental Protection Agency, which brought the family to Washington.
