State Rep. James R. Santora, R-163, of Upper Darby, in coordination with Sen. Tom McGarrigle, R-26, of Springfield, and Congressman Pat Meehan, R-7, invites area job seekers to learn about regional career opportunities at his upcoming job fair on March 31, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. The fair will be held at the Upper Darby High School, 601 N. Lansdowne Ave., Drexel Hill.
“This fair can be beneficial not only for people who are seeking employment, but also for those who are working multiple part-time jobs, rather than a single full-time job,” Santora said. “It will provide the opportunity to connect with dozens of employers that represent a variety of industries.” The job fair, which is co-sponsored by Pennsylvania CareerLink and the Workforce Investment Board, will offer national and local employers.
Some of the more than 45 employers scheduled to attend include the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, SEPTA, Upper Darby School District, Capp USA and Verizon Wireless. The job fair is free and open to the public. Those attending the job fair are encouraged to bring several copies of their resume.
It is not necessary to RSVP to attend the job fair, but residents who have questions about the event are encouraged to call the Clifton Heights district office at (610) 259-2820 for more information.
